Lake Erie Energy Development Corporation (LEEDCo) is a regional non-profit public-private enterprise seeking to install an initial five to seven turbine (20-30 MW) project outside of Cleveland. This initial project ("Icebreaker") is an economic catalyst for capturing the emerging offshore industry in the Great Lakes while creating a roadmap for lowering the cost of offshore wind power. www.LEEDCo.org
The Center for Carbon-free Power Integration (CCPI) at the University of Delaware (UD) conducts research on offshore and coastal wind power, transmission planning and storage to support large-scale carbon-free power systems. The UD/CCPI is the leading teaching and research institution in the United States with a focus on Offshore Wind Power and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) electric storage.
